Requirements for a Travel document for return to Georgia
The Embassy of Georgia to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan outlines the following requirements for the Issuance of a Travel Document for Return to Georgia:
1. Nature of the Document
- A Travel Document for Return to Georgia is a one-time travel document issued for the purpose of returning to Georgia.
- The document may be issued in place of an expired, lost, stolen, or damaged travel document, or in cases where the applicant does not possess a valid travel document.
- To issue a Travel Document to Return to Georgia in place of a lost or stolen passport, the holder must immediately report the incident to the local law enforcement agency or authorized body and obtain a written confirmation/police report. The presentation of this document is mandatory, and it must specify the details of the lost or stolen passport. If the document is issued in Arabic, it must be translated into English.
2. Eligible Applicants
- A Travel Document for Return to Georgia can be issued to: Georgian nationals.
3. Submission of Application
- An application for a Return Document to Georgia can be submitted in person at the Embassy of Georgia to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
- The application can also be submitted by post, provided that all required documents are enclosed. In this case, the applicant must fill out a form stating their inability to visit the Embassy.
4. Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Any document confirming the applicant's Georgian citizenship, his/her status as a stateless person in Georgia, the possession of a residence permit in Georgia, a neutral ID and/or a neutral travel document;
- Completed special application form (must be filled out by hand);
- Color biometric photograph, size 3.5X4.5 cm, taken within the last 6 months, in electronic form;

- Consular fee for document is thirty-five US dollars (USD 35) and must be deposited into the Embassy’s consular account (bank details are provided below). The original payment receipt with a bank stamp is required;
- in the case of a minor, you must also provide:
- The child's birth certificate;
- Consent of one of the parents (the consent form must be signed in front of an authorized Embassy officer or at a notary office);
- The parent's identity document.
- If the application is submitted through a representative, a power of attorney and the representative’s identity document; The power of attorney must first be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the document was issued.
5. Processing Time
- A decision on issuing a Travel Document for Return to Georgia is made within 15 days of submitting the application

1. Access the Official Website
2. Register for E-Application
- Click on “E-APPLICATION REGISTRATION (VISIT PLANNING)”.
3. Create a Personal Space
- Select “CREATE PERSONAL SPACE”.
4. Enter Personal Information
- Provide your personal details accurately and click "CONFIRM".
5. Indicate Citizenship
- Specify your citizenship from the available options – Select a "Citizen of Georgia".
6. Select the Consular Office
- Choose: "Embassy of Georgia to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan" and click "NEXT".
7. Choose the Relevant Service
- Select “TRAVEL DOCUMENT FOR RETURN TO GEORGIA” from the list of available services.
8. Schedule Your Visit
- Under "VISIT TO THE CONSULATE", choose the preferred date and time for your appointment.
